Woke up to a beautiful morning in Galveston Texas. Didn't have a fishing charter scheduled but the weather has been so miserable I decided to do a little scouting trip with myself and Capt. Roy. We hit a few spots around the clear lake area. The water was way off color and still had a lot of freshwater in it from all the rain that we have been having. Although, the weather was beautiful, our expectations were low but wanted to have a little look around. We fished from 9:00am on the backside of a slack tide until 4:00pm. The tide was starting to move in around 11:00 and we ended up finding a few fish. The bait of choice was lime green tails. Talked to other boats out on the water that didn't have much luck. We ended the day with 11 keepers and a handful of throwbacks. All in all it was a nice day of fishing in Clear Lake.
